Control Intervention1: Cuff pressure variation with rotation of head.: Variation of cuff pressure with ipsilateral and contralateral rotation of head compared with neutral position of head.

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients consenting for the study Patients of ASA grade I & II. Elective oncological surgery under general anesthesia. Patients with only one attempt of intubation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient not willing to give informed consent History of difficult intubation Any contra-indication to the use of nitrous oxide. Limited neck movement and neck pain Any alteration in nitrous concentration during surgery (signs of bronchospasm) Tracheostomized patients Anticipated difficult airway

MeasureTime frame
Changes in cuff pressure based on the direction of head rotation (toward the same side vs. opposite side of tube fixation) in mechanically ventilated patients.Timepoint: 3 years

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To determine if cuff pressure is within the recommended range of 20â??30 cmH2O, when inflated using the palpation method. Effect of inspired nitrous oxide concentration on the endotracheal cuff pressure in patients undergoing General Anaesthesia.Timepoint: 3 years
