Intervention1: Vacuum drainage: In this group, after thyroid surgery, a 16G Vacuum drainage will be put and a constant vacuum pressure will be applied. Daily output will be monitored and this drainage

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients undergoing thyroid surgery with thyroid nodule >6 cm who consented to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Bleeding tendencies 2. Recurrent goiter 3. Thyroidectomy with lymph node dissection 4. Thyroid cancer with fixation of the thyroid gland requiring tracheal resection
