Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients diagnosed to be in septic shock, as per 2016 Surviving sepsis guidelines will be included

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Drop out during sampling period. 2) Age less than 18 years. 3) Acute Myocardial infarction. 4) Pulmonary embolism. 5) Haemorrhagic shock. 6) Trauma. 7) Seizures. 8) Pregnancy.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
All mortalities within 48 hours to be correlated to Lactate Albumin ratio and SOFA scores.Timepoint: first 48 hours of ICU admission

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
) duration of mechanical ventilation 2) Duration of ICU stay 3) 28 days mortality Timepoint: 28 days of hospital stay included in ICU or more
