Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: all new and relapse cases of steroid sensitive nephrotic syndrome

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. patients with chronic debilitating illness 2. steroid resistant nephrotic syndrome 3. congenital malformation of genitourinary system 4. those who have taken Zinc in any form in previous 3 months 5. patients with signs of systemic infection

Compare the time duration to next relapse in those supplemental with Zinc for 2 weeks and in those supplemented for 4 weeksTimepoint: 1 year
