Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA 1 and 2 cases. Patients posted for proximal femur fracture surgeries.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with history of known allergy to study drugs. Patients with significant cardiovascular, respiratory, renal or hepatic diseases. Morbid obesity. Pregnant and lactating women. Patients with deranged coagulation profile. Local site infection or altered anatomy like inguinal hernia or femoral artery graft.

MeasureTime frame
Ease in patient positioning for spinal anesthesia, post operative analgesia and decrease in use of analgesics in patients undergoing proximal femur fracture surgeries.Timepoint: 15 minutes before administering spinal anaesthesia preoperatively upto 24 hours postoperatively.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Decrease in use of analgesics post operatively in patients undergoing proximal femur fracture surgeries.Timepoint: From the end of surgery upto 24 hours postoperatively.
