Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients of either sex aged>=18 years 2. Patients with a confirmed diagnosis (either by angiography or clinical findings) of first acute coronary event (STEMI [ST elevation myocardial infarction]/NSTEMI [non-ST elevation myocardial infarction]/ unstable angina) included in the study 3. Patients with minimum 12 months of data post statin therapy initiation and data extracted from their records in eCRF 4. Patients considered for initiation/ maintenance/modification of statin therapy before discharge from hospital
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with a history of hospital admission for acute coronary syndrome in the past 12 months prior to the index event 2. Patients with known type 1 diabetes, history of malignancy, patients with active or suspected or with history of hepatic or stage 5 renal disease, history of uncontrolled hypothyroidism, alcohol, or drug abuse 3. Patients on hormone replacement therapy or oral contraceptives within 3 months of enrollment 4. Pregnant or breast-feeding women 5. Participation in any other interventional study in last 3 months
