Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: A prospective cohort of patients aged more than 18 years presenting with AP with suspected IPN will be enrolled in the study after getting an informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient with HIV infection based on positive ELISA and known immunodeficiency states Patients with Chronic Pancreatitis/ Acute on Chronic Pancreatitis Patients presenting beyond 2 weeks of pain onset Patients with malignancy Refusal to give consent
