Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Critically ill patients of age > 18 years admitted to Intensive Care Unit. Intubated patients on ventilator support. Expected to stay in Intensive Care Unit for at least 48 hours.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with known pulmonary conditions that interfere with the interpretation of Lung Ultrasound: Pulmonary fibrosis, persistent Pleural effusion, known Lung pathology, Pneumectomy. - Pregnancy

MeasureTime frame
To assess Extra Vascular Lung Water (EVLW) using B Lines in Lung Ultrasound in critically ill patients admitted to Intensive Care Unit.Timepoint: Day 1 to day 5, day 7, day 10 and weekly thereafter and as and when required during ICU stay

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To correlate Extra Vascular Lung Water (EVLW) using lung ultrasound with 1. Weaning 2. Duration of mechanical ventilation 3. Mortality in critically ill patients admitted to Intensive Care Unit.Timepoint: Day 1 to day 5, day 7, day 10 and weekly thereafter and as and when required during ICU stay
