Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: -Subjects having Class I bimaxillary dentoalveolar protrusion malocclusion or Class II div 1 malocclusion with normo-divergent growth pattern (FMA 20Ë?- 28Ë?), minimum crowding or spacing in maxillary and mandibular arches who require either all 1st premolars or only upper 1st premolars extraction for the correction of their malocclusion. -Presence of full complement of teeth except 3rd molars. -Good oral hygiene (probing depth

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: -History of complete or incomplete comprehensive orthodontic treatment. -Subject who fails to maintain good oral hygiene all through the orthodontic treatment. -Subjects with pregnancy. -Subjects having any known syndrome or metabolic disorder affecting calcium and phosphate metabolism. -Subjects on long term medications like NSAIDâ??S or steroids. -Lack of manual dexterity. -Any medications for systemic illness. -History of recent bacterial or viral infection. -Known blood disorders like thrombocytopenia, leukopenia etc.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Increase in the expression of interleukin 6 on the experimental side. Increase in the rate of maxillary canine retraction on the experimental side. Timepoint: T0(before L-PRF placement) T1(1 week after L-PRF placement) T2(2week after L-PRF placement) T3(4week after L-PRF placement) T4(8week after L-PRF placement)

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
correlation between the concentration of IL-6 in GCF with the rate of canine retraction.Timepoint: T0(before L-PRF placement) T1(1 week after L-PRF placement) T2(2week after L-PRF placement) T3(4week after L-PRF placement) T4(8week after L-PRF placement)
