Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Only premolar extraction 2. No missing maxillary incisors, and molars 3. Fixed appliance treatment involving both arches; preadjusted edgewise appliances 4. Pretreatment records, study models available

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Non extraction cases 2. Patients having craniofacial or dentofacial syndromes 3. Single-arch or sectional fixed appliance treatment 4. Cases requiring bonded retainers 5. Patients having poor periodontal status 6. Cases that have to be debonded prior to finishing and detailing stage of treatment
