Interventions

Intervention1: Sumbul-ut-teeb: Fine powder of Sumbul-ut-teeb 3gm will be given orally in capsules, daily in two divided doses for 6 weeks. Placebo (roasted wheat flour)will be given in the same manner

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients exhibiting depression, as assessed by the International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision (ICD-10). Patients age >18 yrs of either gender. Patients having single ischaemic or haemorrhagic stroke documented by cerebral CT scanning or MRI before enrolment. Patients having history of stroke > 3months.
