Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To observe the changes in Optic Nerve Sheath Diameter(ONSD) using USG following acute elevations of IAP and simultaneous changes in end-tidal CO2 Timepoint: The changes in ONSD will be measured with the corresponding changes in IAP, end-tidal CO2 and MAP during following time intervals after tracheal intubation and before the starting of surgical procedure, 5 mins after stabilisation of intra abdominal pressure of 10mm of Hg and 15mm of Hg and 10 mins after desufflation of gas. Further, the changes in ONSD corresponding to changes in IAP will be measured after standardizing/bringing the End-tidal CO2 to normal level(35-40 mm Hg) | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To observe changes in Mean Arterial Pressure(MAP) intraoperatively during acute elevations of IAP. To identify which is more sensitive parameter between End-tidal CO2 and Intra-abdominal pressure(IAP) on the ONSD. Timepoint: The changes in ONSD will be measured with the corresponding changes in IAP, end-tidal CO2 and MAP during following time intervals after tracheal intubation and before the starting of surgical procedure, 5 mins after stabilisation of intra abdominal pressure of 10mm of Hg and 15mm of Hg and 10 mins after desufflation of gas. Further, the changes in ONSD corresponding to changes in IAP will be measured after standardizing/bringing the End-tidal CO2 to normal level(35-40 mm Hg) | — |
