Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients undergoing elective cataract surgery under monitored anaesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: -Preexisting hypoxic patients -Patients with complicated cataract -Patients Body mass index more than 35 kg/m2 -Deviated nasal septum and nasal obstruction patients -Patients not cooperative for surgery

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To determine the lowest saturation observed with air insufflation and oxygen supplementation during adult cataract surgery.Timepoint: Time point from starting surgery to one hour postop surgery ASA1vitals will be monitored for every five minutes once.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1.To analyse the number of patients whose saturation drops below 95%. 2.To analyse the duration of safe conduct of procedure. 3.To measure patients discomfort. 4.To measure inspired and expired carbon dioxide concentration. 5.To determine the duration of surgery.Timepoint: Time points from starting of surgery to end of surgery.
