Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients of either sex aged between 18 to 50 years. 2. Patient is willing and able to participate in the study. 3. Patients presenting with signs and symptoms of Dry eye syndrome and lakshana of Shushkakshipaka as described in the text
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Age group less than 18 and more than 50 years. 2. Severe cases of dry eye syndrome with complications like corneal ulcer, Uveitis, Glaucoma etc. 3. Allergic and inflammatory conditions of eye Ex. Acute conjunctivitis, Vernal keratoconjunctivitis, giant papillary conjunctivitis etc. 4. Patients on steroids, oral contraceptive pills, estrogen replacement therapy or any other medication such as antispasmodic drugs like Atropine that may adversely affect the outcome of the study. 5. Patients suffering from major systemic illness necessitating long term drug treatment ex. Psychoepileptic drug users etc. 6. H/o hypersensitivity to the trial drug or any of its ingredients.
