Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Neonates diagnosed of intestinal atresia. Neonates undergoing corrective surgery/procedure for the diagnosed condition

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Cases with insufficient antenatal data. Cases in which surgical intervention is contraindicated or deferred due to existing comorbidities.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Early initiation of feeds improves post-operative morbidity in neonates undergoing surgical intervention for bowel atresia.Timepoint: Post operative outcomes will be assesed at 1 week and 1 month after surgery.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Measurement of risk factors for development of bowel atresia in neonates.Timepoint: Antenatal period.
