Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA I and II Euthyroid state Scheduled for elective thyroid surgery under general anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Retrosternal goitre 2) Morbid obesity 3) Intolerance or contraindication to any medication used in the study 4) Inability to understand the study protocol or the pain scale 5) Previous thyroid/neck surgery 6) Pregnancy 7) Chronic use of opioids,corticosteroids or any analgesic drug
