Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. BMI >=25 kg/m2 2. Previously or newly identified IFG and/or IGT

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Persons suffering from diabetes mellitus 2. Pregnancy and Lactation 3. Patients on certain drugs (glucocorticoid, hydrochlorothiazide, bisphosphonate, metformin or other oral hypoglycemic agents, anticonvulsants) 4. Patients with psychiatric illness
