Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To compare the effects of intravenous paracetamol to intravenous fentanyl on attenuating haemodynamic responses to laryngoscopy and tracheal intubation.Timepoint: AT 1,2,3,5,10 AND 15 MINUTES

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1.To measure the change in mean arterial pressure and heart rate after laryngoscopy and tracheal intubation at defined time interval for 15 minutes. 2.To observe postoperavtive adverse effects like dizziness, somnolence, nausea and vomiting for next 24 hrs after surgery. Timepoint: OVER A PERIOD OF 15 MINUTES
