Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Presence ICD-10 DCR diagnosis of Alcohol Dependence Syndrome by consultant psychiatrist 2. Ability to read, write and speak Kannada or/and English 3. Availability of a bystander (parents, caregivers) who can provide details regarding the patientâ??s childhood and adolescence. In case of lack of a bystander who can provide details regarding the participantâ??s childhood and adolescence for face-to-face interview, a telephonic interview will be done for the same.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Presence of other substance use except for Nicotine/ Tobacco Dependence Syndrome 2. Presence of major psychiatric disorders â?? Bipolar affective disorder or Psychotic disorders. 3. Presence of major childhood neurological disorders â?? epilepsy/ head injury
