Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients who will undergo elective Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgery in the age group pf 18 to 80 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients with open sternum. 2) Patients on intra-aortic balloon pump support. 3) Patients who will undergo emergency surgery.

MeasureTime frame
Lung ultrasound could replace bedside chest X-rays to diagnose lung pathologies in adult postoperative cardiothoracic and vascular surgical patients represented by p value of less than 0.05.Timepoint: 6 months, 1 year, 2 years.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Ease and time required to do lung ultrasound and chest xray.Timepoint: 6 months, 1 years, 2 years.
