Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: A. Patients fulfilling the criteria of Generalized Anxiety Disorder as per DSM IV guidelines. B. Hamilton anxiety score >17. C. Age 20 to 40 years, irrespective to gender, caste, socio-economic status etc. D. Informed consent from the patient showing his willingness to participate in study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient suffering from any psychiatric disorder other than GAD. 2. Patient suffering from any major systemic disease requiring significant care. 3. Patient with serious suicidal & Homicidal risk, substance or alcohol dependence. 4. Pregnant women and lactating mothers. 5. Patient not willing to participate in study.

Improvement in the scores in Hamilton Anxiety Scale. (Score 17)Timepoint: Assessment after 4 months followed by 1 month post treatment follow up.
