Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients fulfilling the diagnostic criteria and mild to moderate grade of Sandhi ruja (pain in joints), Sandhi Shotha (joint swelling) Willing to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Chronicity for more than 5 years. Having severe crippling deformity. Patients who are unable to walk without support and/ or confined to wheel chair. Patients suffering from cardiac disease, Pulmonary Tuberculosis, Diabetes, Osteoarthritis, Vatarakta,pregnancy and Lactation and any other systemic illness. Patients on prolonged ( >6 weeks) medication with corticosteroids, antidipressants, anticholinergic etc. and any other drugs that may have an influence on the outcome of the study.
