Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients undergoing anterior resection with stapled, circular, end to end colo-rectal anastomosis (CEEA) for colorectal cancer, in the study period, at Kasturba Hospital, Manipal.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients undergoing anterior resection for benign indications. Patients undergoing anterior resection and reconstruction without application of circular stapler.

A positive doughnut does not effect the overall treatment of patient.Timepoint: 2 years
