Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Newborns babies after 48 to 72 hours of life who are attending Shalabham unit of Sree Avittom Thirunal Hospital Thiruvananthapuram for newborn screening.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: •Newborn, whose mothers those who are not willing to give consent. •Preterm newborns less than 36 week

The investigator assumes the outcome that children in experimental group has less pain than the children in the control group. Timepoint: during heel lance procedure.
