Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: laboring patients undergoing cesarean section under spinal anesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - patients refusal - non laboring parturients - gestation - preeclampsia - general anesthesia requirement - pre-existing systemic illness

Adequacy of uterine tone.Timepoint: At 4 minutes after initiation of oxytocin.

MeasureTime frame
Side effects of oxytocin: hypotension, tachycardia (increase of 10 bpm), ST-T changes, nausea/vomiting, and chest painTimepoint: Observed continuously for occurrence: From initiation of oxytocin till end of surgery.
