Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients undergoing intracranial surgery 2. ASA grade 1 and 2 patients 3. Patient should be Nil per oral as per standard ASA guidelines 4. Age group from 18 years to 60 years 5. Body mass index � 30 6. Patient with GCS 15

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Refusal of consent 2. Patients with any valvular heart disease or ventricular dysfunction or atrial fibrillation or arrhythmia 3. ASA grade more than 2 4. Patient with Chronic lung disease, obstructive sleep apnea 5. Inability to lie supine comfortably

Primary

MeasureTime frame
to assess the changes in IVCCI with usual respiration in response to fluid challenge of 500 ml of crystalloid.Timepoint: at 5 minutes after fluid challenge

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secondary endpoint will be changes in carotid flow time with fluid challenge.Timepoint: 5 minutes after fluid challenge
