Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing orotracheal and nasotracheal intubation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Preexisting swallowing difficulty or dysphasia 2) Patients with oral, neck and throat pathology 3) Patients who are posted for oral, throat, neck and oesophageal surgeries. 4) Patient intubated for >24 hours 5) Patient who are confused obtunded, or incapable of following commands 6) Patient who require preoperative oxygen or saturation is less than 94 % 7) Patient on NPO 8) Patient on tracheostomy 9) Patient with obvious drooling. 10) Patient with Ryles tube insitu at the time of examinaton
