Interventions

Intervention1: voriconazole: 50µg/0.1 ml dose, given by intrastromal route as an adjunct to topical therapy. Repeated maximum thrice, if there is no improvement or worsening of the keratitis Control

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1)Moderate to severe non-perforated ulcer. 2)Evidence of fungus on KOH or culture 3)Admitted in the ward 4)Consent to receive medications as per protocol

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Mild cases of fungal keratitis 2)Impending perforation 3)Evidence of bacteria on Gram stain / acanthamoeba 4)Evidence of herpetic keratitis:history or exam 5)Age less than 18 years 6)Bilateral ulcers 7)Previous surgery in affected eye within 1 year 8)Pregnancy or breast-feeding (by history) 9) Acuity worse than 6/60 (20/200) in fellow eye. 10) h/o known allergy to drugs being used
