Exclusion criteria: Those excluded from the study were patients with known basal skull fracture, hemorrhagic disorders, esophageal diseases such as stricture, varices or stenosis, history of radiotherapy to the head and neck, patients with history of esophageal stricture and history of esophageal surgery.
