Health Condition 1: K026- Dental caries on smooth surface

Interventions

Intervention1: Handi dam vs Optra Dam: Handi dam will be compared to Optra dam for restoring dental caries. The time taken for application of both the dams will be noted along with the total duration

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Children with bilateral Class I or Class II caries in the primary first or second molars, that qualifies for the restoration. 2. Mesial and/or distal contact should be present. 3. Co-operative patients (Franklââ?¬•s Behaviour Rating Scale ââ?¬â?? Positive + and Definitely Positive ++).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. History of any chronic illness 2. Patients with mobility in the primary molars 3. Visually impaired children 4. Mouth breathers 5. Patients with latex allergy 6. Patients with past experience of treatment under rubber dam 7. Grossly decayed molars

MeasureTime frame
To assess comfort of the patient while using Handi Dam�® with Optra Dam �® Rubber Dam. Comfort of the patient will be assessed through a questionnaire Timepoint: Baseline

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To compare Handi Dam�® with Optra Dam �® in terms of ease of application. Ease of application will be assessed using time required in the placement of rubber dam Timepoint: Baseline
