Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients aged 18-80 years who underwent PCNL in our institution during 30/10/2009 to 30/10/2019. 2. All consenting scheduled/elective patients with renal stones admitted and planned for PCNL upto year 2022 in our institution.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with incomplete medical records For retrospective cases 2. For prospective cases : Patients with prior untreated urinary tract infections, Patients with history of uncorrected coagulopathy.

MeasureTime frame
Prevalence of clinico-demographic profile of morbidity, intra and peri-operative complications shall be assessed by: (1) Modified Clavien Dindo classification (2) Other ergonomic parameters like (i) Mean duration of hospital / ICU stay (ii) Mean rate of sepsis/SIRS (iii) Intra-operative parameters (iv) Stone free status (v) Auxiliary treatment rate (vi) Incidence of re-admission within 30 days Timepoint: 1. Time till Discharge 2. 30 Days after Discharge (Readmission) 3. 6 weeks post discharge—

MeasureTime frame
(i) Incidence of intra, peri-operative and post-operative complications upto 6 weeks in cases of renal stones undergoing PCNL (prospective cases) shall also be assessed using the above said parameters. (ii) Associated co-morbidities if any that could act as risk factor for occurrence of complications shall be assessed by Charlson comorbidity index and correlated by use of appropriate statistical methods.
