Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients of both gender in the age group of 20-60 years who are having raised blood sugar levels (as per the norms of WHO) and Obesity will be included in the study, irrespective of Caste, religion, socio-economic status. Patients having classical symptoms of Prameha and Sthoulya as per Ayurvedic texts. First Time Diagnosed or Newly Diagnosed patients with Diabesity. Patients with following criteria as suggested by WHO will be included in the study RBS- More than 200mg/dl FBS- More than 126 mg/dl and less than 300mg/dl PPBS- More than 150 mg/dl and less than 450mg/dl HbA1c- More than 6.5% and less than 11gm% BMI- More than 25 kg/ ? 2

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who are under conventional therapy for diabetes. FBS- More than 300 mg/dL PPBS- More than 450 mg/dL HbA1c- More than 11 gm% Patients with Grave Diseases, Psychological disorders. Pregnant women and lactating mothers. Patients suffering from severe acute illness. Patients who have refused to give written informed consent
