Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: For survey study (part 1): group A- patients suffering from Shirashula (headache), age 10-60 years, respondents willing to answer the questionnaire. group B- apparently healthy individuals, age 10-60 years, respondents willing to answer the questionnaire. For the clinical study (part 2): age 20-60 years age group, a patient suffering from Shirashula (headache), patients willing to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: For survey study both group A and group B: severely ill patients, Pregnant and lactating women, patients suffering from a systemic illness like cancer, kidney disease, cirrhosis, rheumatologic Disease, diabetes mellitus, Acute, and chronic infectious diseases, Current use of medicines like insulin, steroid hormones, oral contraceptive, hormone replacement therapy, Current major psychiatric illness, Subjects not willing to respond to answer the questionnaire. For clinical study: Patients below 20 years and above 60 years, Pregnant and lactating women, patients suffering from a systemic illness like cancer, kidney disease, cirrhosis, rheumatologic Disease, diabetes mellitus, Acute, and chronic infectious diseases, Current use of medicines like insulin, steroid hormones, oral contraceptive, hormone replacement therapy, Current major psychiatric illness, Patients are not willing to get enrolled in the study.

MeasureTime frame
From survey studyâ?? The degree of suppression of natural urges of Mutra(urination), Pureesha(defecation), Nidra(sleep), Kshavathu(sneezing), Ashru(lachrymation), in apparently healthy individuals and patients suffering from Shirashula(headache) will be obtained. From clinical study- Ayurvedic lifestyle intervention is expected to reduce the occurrence of Shirashula(headache) in patients.Timepoint: For survey study- one year one month and 25 days. For clinical study- 4 evaluations will be done, at an interval of 20 days for total period of 60 days.

MeasureTime frame
From survey study â??to present the data about the incidence of any other illnesses that are mentioned under the context of suppression of natural urges in the classics among the subjects survey. From clinical study- Ayurvedic intervention in lifestyle improve the quality of life. Timepoint: before treatment, after 60 days.
