Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy individuals and individuals with chronic disease (e.g. diabetes, with age <60 years, Self-reported HbA1c <9 during last reading taken within past 6 months, Hypertension)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Individuals with disease complications (e.g. heart attack or stroke history or diabetes complications such as neuropathy or pacemaker, Chronic Pulmonary Obstructive Disease complications) Any recent surgery or procedure especially related to ENT

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Identify optimum breathing length (BL) to maximize the HRV (measured with at least one time domain and frequency domain measure)Timepoint: Measurement conducted throughout - during the "activity".

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
2. The optimum length varies for (a) gender (b) different age groups: subjects 40 years age compared to younger subjectsTimepoint: Comparison based HRV parameters during 90 second practice at different breathing lengths for various demographics
