Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Who give informed consent. 2. Aged between 18 to 60 years of either sex. 3. American Society of Anaesthesiology (ASA) physical status Grade I and II 4. Scheduled for elective surgical procedure under general anaesthesia. 5. Score of 3 or more in STOP BANG questionnaire.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnant, breast feeding women. 2. H/o Hepatic, renal or cardiac insufficiency. 3. Psychiatric disease. 4. ASA grade III & above. 5. Patients with previously diagnosed OSA and receiving CPAP as treatment priorly

INICIDENCE OF HYPOXIA PERIOPERATIVELY IN PATIENTS WITH OSA WHO HAVE UNDERGONE ELECTIVE SURGERIES UNDER GENEAL ANAESTHESIA AND REDUCTION IN INCIDENCE OF HYPOXIC EVENTS PERIOPERATIVELY IN OSA PATIENTS WHO HAVE RECEIVED CPAP PREOPERATIVELY FOR THIRTY MINUTES Patients will be monitored for any fall in SpO2 of more than 5% from baseline or SpO2 lesser than 90 % lasting for more than ten secondsTimepoint: START OF GENERAL ANAESTHESIA TILL TWENTY FOUR HOURS AFTER COMPLETION OF GA
