Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
a. Diaphragmatic excursions before major laparoscopic surgeries in Trendelenburg position. b. Diaphragmatic excursions after major laparoscopic surgeries in Trendelenburg position. c. Change in Diaphragmatic excursions before and after major laparoscopic surgeries Timepoint: Baseline and 10 minutes after extubation b. Diaphragmatic excursions after major laparoscopic surgeries in Trendelenburg position. c. Change in Diaphragmatic excursions before and after major laparoscopic surgeries

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the impact of BMI, Positive end expiratory pressure (PEEP), and Peak airway pressures, degree and duration of Trendelenburg, pain at the end of surgery (assessed by Visual analog scale), duration of pneumoperitoneum and duration of anaesthesia on changes in diaphragmatic excursions in a major laparoscopic surgery in Trendelenburg position. Timepoint: 1. Before Anaesthesia (BMI) 2.During Anaesthesia (PEEP, Peak airway pressures, degree of Trendelenburg) 3. 10 minutes after anaesthesia (VAS)
