Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria 1. Age between 18 and 60 years of age 2. Registered at NDDTC 3. Diagnosis of mild/ moderate cannabis use disorder (DSM5) 4. Cannabis use should have occurred at least 14 days in the last 1 month as per self-report 5. Patient willing to engage in a brief intervention session and telephonic conversations Patients may be having a diagnosis of one or more additional substance use disorder will not be excluded
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria 1. Exposure to any psycho-social intervention or pharmacological management for cannabis use in preceding 3 months either in OPD or IPD 2. Those who are planned for inpatient treatment. 3. Those who are intoxication or severe withdrawal which precludes an interview 4. Psychiatric or medical comorbidity that precludes an interview 5. Previously randomized for this study
