Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients of age between 18-70 years. 2. ASA physical status I, II. 3. Haemodynamically stable patients. 4. Scheduled for spine surgery under General Anaesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. ASA physical status grade > II 2. Patients having any history of cardiovascular, renal, hepatic, respiratory and endocrine, neuromuscular disorder. 3. Patients having epilepsy, neurological or psychiatric disorders. 4. Patients having bleeding or coagulation disorders. 5. Patients refusal, pregnancy, history of difficult intubation 6. History of difficult mask ventilation or inability to open the mouth for assessment

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Post operative change in MPC in patient undergoing Lumbar surgery in prone position.Timepoint: before surgery, then half hour , 1 hour , 2 hout , 4 hour and 24 hour after surgery

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. To look for airway related post operative complications. 2. Reintubation if required to be noted. Timepoint: reintubation if needed within 24 hrs post surgery
