Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.voluntary signature and informed written written consent 2.Axial low back pain for more than 3 months atleast 3.Recent MRI (within last 6 months) consistent kader grade 2 or 3 multifidus atrophy at 1 or 2 levels 4.Is independent,ambulatory and can comply with all postoperative evaluation and visit.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Mild multifidus atrophy kader grade 1 2.Multifidus atrophy at more than 2 levels 3.Symptomatic spinal stenosis(eg pseudoclaudication with moderate or severe MRI findings of stenosis) 4.Fracture,previous spine surgery,neuromuscular disease of the trunk,malignancy,infections, or pregnancy 5.corticosteroid injection(epidural or facet) within past 3 months. 6.Contraindications of MRI 7.Allergy or intolerance to local anesthetic/steroid. 8.patients having systemic arthritis viz rheumatoid arthritis,ankylosing spondylitis,gout arthritis
