Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Children with carious lesion on occlusal surface in any one of the permanent molars that are fully erupted with ICDAS score ranging from 3-5 will be included. 2. Children with failed restorations extending only on the occlusal surface of permanent molars will also be included (ICDAS-CARS criteria 3-5) 3. Children with satisfactory cooperative Frankls Behavior rating scale score 3 or 4. 4 .Children with satisfactory oral hygiene with a simplified oral hygiene index score of less than or equal to 3. 5. Children with deft/DMFT index � 1 .

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Permanent molars with presence of any pathologic pulpal disease with or without pain. 2. Patients having allergy to any material being used in trial. 3. Patients with history of abnormal parafunctional activity. 4. Parents of children who do not consent for the study. 5. Patients with mental disabilities and systemic illness will be excluded from the study.
