Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients more than 18 years of age requiring IJV cannulation and who are willing to join the study will be enrolled.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with previous surgery at the site of insertion Infection at the site of insertion Clotting abnormalities Presence of thrombus within the IJV, abnormal IJV anatomy by US imaging (agenesis, strictures, or duplication) . Patients with pre-existing catheters in the IJV.
