Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients diagnosed with mild to moderate localized chronic periodontitis. 2) Patients Willing to take part in the study. 3) Patients in age group 35 to 60 years without systemic disease. 4) Patients with more than 16 natural teeth. 5) Patients with periodontal pocket depth of >4mm to 7mm and radiological evidence of bone loss. 6) No history of allergy.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Pregnant and lactating women. 2) Teeth with endoperio lesions. 3) Patients used tobacco or tobacco related products. 4) Patients under antibiotic therapy within 3 months of time periods from the study. 5) Patients with systemic disease Eg; diabetes, hypertension, immune compromised conditions, cardiovascular problems. 6) Patient underwent periodontal surgery, restorative procedure, extraction and long term medications within one month prior to enrollment that will effect periodontal scaling and root planning.
