Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Primary Outcome Measures: 1. D-dimer profile [ Time Frame: Up to day 10 days. ] 2. NLR ratio [Time frame up to 10 days] 3. Mean daily PaO2 to FiO2 ratio [ Time Frame: 10 days ] Timepoint: Primary Outcome Measures: 1. D-dimer profile [ Time Frame: Up to day 10 days. ] 2. NLR ratio [Time frame up to 10 days] 3. Mean daily PaO2 to FiO2 ratio [ Time Frame: 10 days ]

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. Oxygenation Index, as assessed by Po2 2. Quasi-Static Lung Compliance [ Time Frame: Up to day 10] Determine the effect of nebulised heparin on Quasi-Static Lung Compliance (i.e. tidal volume/(Plateau pressure-PEEP) 3. Time to separation from invasive ventilationTimepoint: day 1,3 and 10
