Intervention1: Personal Motivational Interview (PMI): Face to face individual counseling sessions with participants in the lines of messages for salt reduction through trained frontline workers (FLWs)

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1-Age: >=30 years 2-Hypertensive individuals: Systolic Blood (SBP) >=140mmHg or Diastolic BP (DBP) >=90mmHg or both 3-Obese individuals: Body Mass Index (BMI) >=25kg/m2 with or without presence of abdominal obesity, as per the Asia-Pacific guidelines

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1-Any individual unable to understand or follow the instructions due to any mental/physical condition (such as hearing/visual/hearing impairment and learning or cognitive disabilities) 2-Pregnant women 3-Individuals advised against reducing sodium/salt content in diet due to medical conditions
