Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Mothers admitted in the department of Gynecology and Obstetrics with preterm labour and / or premature rupture of membrane.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Mothers with diabetes mellitus, HIV infection, taking corticosteroids.

To study the relationship between maternal age, parity, socioeconomic status, past history with the occurrence of preterm labour and premature rupture of membrane.Timepoint: 0 hour—

To study the culture sensitivity of high vaginal swab in pregnancies complicated by preterm labour and / or premature rupture of membrane so that appropriate antibiotic can be instituted to the mother in order to minimise the incidence of neonatal sepsis.Timepoint: 1 hour—
