Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Obese patients BMI > 27 of adult cut-off by IAP 2015 Growth charts

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Children with Intellectual sub-normality 2. Children with underlying chronic disease or medications (anti-epileptic drugs, thyroxine, steroids, metformin) affecting weight gain 3. Suspected pathological cause of obesity 4. Extreme obesity with BMI > 35

Laboratory investigations: fasting insulin, blood sugar, oral glucose tolerance test, HOMA-IR, lipid profile, markers of inflammation (HS-CRP, TNF-alpha, IL-6), adiponectin, liver function tests. Body composition analysis by DEXA scan for calculation of fat-mass and fat-Timepoint: 3 and 6 months
