Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: i) Patients of either Sex aged between 18-60 years. ii) Right handed patients as assessed by Sidedness Bias Schedule (Mandal et al., 1992) iii) Diagnosis of Schizophrenia (F20.0 to F20.9) according to ICD 10, having clinical indication for Electroconvulsive therapy. iv) Patients giving written informed Consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: i) Patients having predominant Catatonic symptoms ii) Any other Psychiatric comorbidity iii) Significant Neurological or Medical illness iv) Female patients who are Pregnant during the study period. v) Patients using any psychoactive substances in dependence pattern. (Except Caffeine and Nicotine) vi) Patients on Clozapine
