Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion Criteria: 1 Patients between the ages of 40 and 60 years old undergoing total knee arthroplasty 2 BMI 3 ASA class III or less

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Inability to sign consent form 2 Allergy to medications used in the study 3 Repeat surgery 4 History of seizure disorder 5 Simultaneous bilateral TKA 6 BMI >45 • Opioid consumption of greater or equal to 30mg morphine equivalents per day • Age 60 years old • ASA IV or greater • Inability to access the intrathecal space • Infection at the site of injection (either for spinal or PNB) • INR greater than or equal to 1.4
