Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. No periodontal or antimicrobial treatment within 6 months 2. No confirmed or suspected intolerence to 5â??nitroimidazole derivatives 3. Presence of at least four teeth having at least one approximal site with probing depth (PD) of 5-6mm and gingival index (GI) of >=2 in each quadrant. 4. Systemically healthy.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnancy 2. Medication/conditions that might interfere with the conduct of the study.
