Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: maternal request sigleton term pregnancy with vertex presentation ASA grade II active stage of labour

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: allergy to any study drug abnormal presentation cephalopelvic disproportion previous caesarean section any medical complications patients unwilling for labour analgesia containdications to epidural anaesthesia
